Kate Bates is a mental health counselor and candidate for licensure working with individuals, couples, and families. She earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Oklahoma where she learned to combine her empathic nature with evidence-based therapeutic practices through education and direct clinical experience. She continues to train in her areas of focus including trauma focused interventions, anxiety, depression, the psychological impact of acute and chronic health challenges, neurofeedback, Gottman Method Couples Therapy (she has completed Level 1 training), and more. Kate is a native of Tulsa, enjoys traveling with her husband, is a proud dog and cat mom, and continues to hone her skills in gardening, singing, and wood-turning.
